Dracula is an 1897 Gothic horror novel by Irish author Bram Stoker. It introduced Count Dracula and established many conventions of subsequent vampire fantasy.
The novel is told through letters, diary entries, and newspaper articles. It follows the vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing and his associates as they work to stop the centuries-old vampire Count Dracula from spreading the undead curse from Transylvania to England.
The book has never been out of print since its publication and has been adapted countless times for stage, film, and television. It remains one of the most famous horror novels ever written.
